What is the best water filtration system?

We have horrible lime and calcium build up – very hard water. We want an entire water softner/filtration system.

Bottled water or attachments for the sink is not what I am talking about, it needs to be for laundry, showers, drinking, cooking, etc.

Please help!

Rain Soft is the best whole-house water conditioning system available and has the guarantee to back it up.. It has a lifetime warranty, for as long as the original purchaser lives, not how long you own the house. If you move, you can take it with you. A Culligan system has to be recharged after 5-6 years and will easily run more than the cost of a Rain Soft system in normal scheduled maintenance.
Go ahead and shop at Loews and Home Depot. Ask about the warranty and decide from there.

My friend has the Culligan filter system. Its connected to the water heater and treats all the water in her entire house.

She loves it. Of course, you might want to consider just getting a water softener. Shop around for quotes in your area.

    I’m going to add this:
Shop around in your area. Different water will require different treatment. My last house was in a city with a lot of lead and calcium buildup, so I was recommended a special water softener and salt for that type of water.
