How can I get my cat to drink her water?

She knocks over her water bowl (trying to make the water move). I’ve tried a pump in the bowl. She clogs it with hair after a week. I’ve tried training her to ring a bell so I’ll turn on the faucet. She just learned to scramble after me when I go towards it. I tried leaving the faucet dripping. She only goes to it when I’m at it. I tried a hamster water bottle. She won’t drink from it. I don’t want to spend + on a water filtration system, but is that my only option at this point?

Try a DOG water bottle. Those filtration systems make me thirsty.

Get a water bowl and a heavy, clean rock. Put rock in bowl. Cover with water. Cat will drink the water.

Cats do not really drink that much. If they eat canned food, they drink less. I am sure she will drink enough.

It sounds to me like your cat has a depth preception problem. Do this: Fill the water bowl as usual and then take several ice cubes and put them in her bowl. She will bat at them to test the depth of the water and then proceed to drink. Hope that helps you and kitty !

Try a "pet fountain." Unlike a pump in her bowl, it shouldn’t get clogged with hair. Or, maybe you could put a bowl under a DRIPPING faucet that won’t be in your way, say in the bathroom, or in the bathtub. The water is running, and then there is the bowl, so she has access to more water when she needs it.

    Best of luck!

well my cats dont really drink out of a dish either they like to drink out of the toilet or i just leave a big cup in the bathtube and let them drink when theyre thirsty but if your cat knocks it over put something like rock in the bottom of the cup and shell be fine.
